Dated November 13, 2018 Ubon Ratchathani Highway District 1, Highway Office 9 (Ubon Ratchathani), Department of Highways, Ministry of Transport. Established in 1927 in Warin Chamrap District, Ubon Ratchathani Province, under the jurisdiction of the Nakhon Ratchasima Highway District. Originally named the Ubon Ratchathani Highway District. In 1934, the office moved to the intersection of Uparach Road, Pathum Subdistrict, Mueang District, Ubon Ratchathani Province, and was named the Warin Highway District. Under the jurisdiction of Nakhon Ratchasima District. In 1936 (B.E. 2479), the location was changed to Chawalanoi Road, along Highway No. 23, section Khueang Nai District – Ubon Ratchathani Province, Km. 289+660, on the right side of the road, in Nai Mueang Subdistrict, Mueang District, Ubon Ratchathani Province (which is the current office location). The area was 19-2-0 rai. Originally, it was a very dense forest called "Nong Hai Rainforest". In 1954 (B.E. 2497), the name was changed from Warin Chamrap Highway District to Ubon Ratchathani Highway District. Originally under the jurisdiction of Ubon Ratchathani Highway District. In 1992 (B.E. 2535), the name was changed from Ubon Ratchathani Highway District to "Ubon Ratchathani Highway District No. 1," under the jurisdiction of Highway Office 7 (Ubon Ratchathani). In 2015 (B.E. 2558), the name was changed from Ubon Ratchathani Highway District No. 1 to "Ubon Ratchathani Highway District No. 1," under the jurisdiction of Highway Office 9 (Ubon Ratchathani).
